Obtaining a complex aircraft and multi-engine rating takes pilots to the next frontier in aviation! In order to fly airplanes that have retractable landing gear, flaps, and controllable pitch propellers, a pilot must earn a complex airplane endorsement.
Air Ventures PDK students train for the complex aircraft and multi-engine rating in our powerful multi-engine Piper Aztec. Learning to fly the Aztec is both fun and rewarding. With six passenger seats and 170 knots cruise speed, the Aztec is a speedy cross-country machine. The multi-engine rating is accomplished by passing both an oral and a practical test with an FAA Designated Examiner. Previous experience and current level of flying proficiency dictates how quickly each student achieves that level of proficiency.
